Here’s something new and different from Aldo. “Love for Life” bracelets, which are silver, gold, and rubber cuff bracelets designed by children of the Rebero Orphan Center of Rwanda, will be sold at Aldo stores throughout September to help bring awareness and fight AIDS. The Aldo Fights AIDS Initiative has been committed to the fights against AIDS since the mid-80s and this new program aims to up the ante. All proceeds from the $5 bracelets will go to YouthAIDS, an HIV/AIDS education and prevention program. “We believe that it is everyone’s ethical responsibility to get involved and make a difference,” said Aldo Bensadoun, founder and CEO of Aldo, in a statement yesterday. The Rebero Orphan Center cares for children who have lost one or both parents in the Rwandan genocide or to AIDS. Since 2005 Aldo has raised over 3 million for the fight against AIDS.
